Nokia's C6 smartphone advances the company's successful C series, and in this latest model, resembles the specs of the Nokia N97, only it is more affordable. Go on reading this Nokia C6 review to get the bigger picture.

If you take the older model Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, you will see a stunning resemblance to the C6. Meaning that whatever Nokia improved, it was most likely internal and not the outer design. With this model you will learn what is 3G and how to use 3G network.

The Nokia C6 features a 3.2'' touchscreen display, taking almost the complete front side of the device. This resistive display has a 360x640 resolution with a decent response, but fails to match the quality of capacitive displays. Under the display there are 3 keys and also a front-facing cameraplus a light sensor above. On the bottom the phone has a small charger port, while the top comes with the microUSB port and the 3.5mm audio jack. The left side holds the microSD card slot, that comes with a 2GB card and can hold up to 16GB.

The top area of the C6 slides right to reveal the full QWERTY keyboard, that has 4 rows and a D-pad as well. This is larger compared to the N97's 3-row keyboard, and this means less function keys for the same amount of input. This 4-row keyboard is also the phone's biggest step forward from the 5800 model, and brings excellent finger space in typing.

The phone's camera has a lens at the back of the phone, close to the LED flash. Since it is not protected, you have to pay attention to prevent damage.

The battery holds 1200mAh. The battery lasts for 384 hours on standby, 5 hours for 3G or 7 hours regular talk time. It also lasts for 30 hours of music playback before a recharge. The Nokia C6 does not take power through regular USB, so you will need to have its charger.

Other features of the C6 include: VGA@30fps video recording; 3.6Mbps HSDPA support; Wi-Fi connectivity; Assisted GPS complete with free voice-guided navigation license; Kinetic scroll.

We hope that this short Nokia C6 review has been enough to help you decide regarding your next smartphone.
